DMV 주소변경후 확인시 오류 및 해결방법 (California)

* 아래 내용은 캘리포니아 DMV의 경우입니다.

 

이사 후에 DMV에 주소변경을 요청해야 합니다.

온라인으로 변경한 후에 주소가 제대로 변경되었는지 확인해야 합니다.

 

변경 후에 다음과 같은 안내문구가 뜹니다.

The information from your transaction should update to your DMV record within three business days. For confirmation of the update, wait three business days and go to the Check Update Status page. For security purposes, you will be required to enter the DL/ID Card information used when you submitted this address change information and the vehicle/vessel number(s). To safeguard your address information, only a status of the update will be displayed. No address information will be displayed.

비즈니스 데이 3일 후에 링크에서 확인하라고 하는데 결코 저 링크에서 확인할 수 없습니다.

왜냐하면 다음과 같은 이해하기 힘든 에러메시지만 계속 나오는 잘못된 링크이기 때문입니다.

Either you have not logged in or your session has expired. Please choose from the options below.

이런 오류 메시지가 언제부터 나오는지는 잘 모르겠습니다만 암튼 오래된 문제입니다.

 

3일 후에 다음과 같이 확인하시기 바랍니다. 

• DMV 홈페이지에서 Change My Address 메뉴로 이동
• Online: Complete the DMV 14 online 클릭
• 'Start address change' 클릭
• 'NOTE' 부분의 'check the status of the request' 클릭

미국의 관공서 시스템이 왜 이러냐고 탓하자면 한도 끝도 없는 것 같습니다.

그냥 내가 이런 상황이 Normal 이다라고 생각하면서 맞춰가야 마음이 편합니다.
